Hong Zhu An’s new series of works explores new avenues to imbue the sensations and feelings that he aims to create in viewers, using warm colours for the single bird perched on the lotus stalk. Though simple and solitary, it creates visions of the warmth and life returning with the approaching season, reflecting the sensations of renewal and vitality that the artist experiences in his journey of transformation.
