LP Chin Chun Wah presents scenes of old Singapore in his distinctive pen and wash technique which blends watercolour and markers. Depicted here are scenes of the Singapore River in the 70s, filled with bumboats carrying cargo to-and-fro from the godowns or warehouses to far-off destinations. The bustling waterway formed the lifeblood of the city-state, with trade as a key part of its economic success.
Having left the arts scene for a career in advertising, he resumed painting in 2013 at the age of 72.
