Tilen Ti does not believe in still life. His depictions of street scenes defy reality and are rendered in colour that he senses rather than sees. Vivid with hues of every imaginable colour, his painting slyly turn familiar places into stranger, more flamboyant versions of themselves. Tilen was a self-taught artist that is born in Raub, a small town in Pahang, Malaysia. He attended Saito Academy of Art, where he obtained a diploma in commercial art. In 2006, he moved to Singapore. He began painting in watercolours in 2009 and has since made a name for himself for his distinct style.
